Slabs in Moraware Inventory can be split when allocated, when a full slab is not needed.
Open a Systemize Job that is ready to have Material allocated.
Click in the Material column of the Job Activity to allocate Material. Select to Add Slabs from Inventory.
I’m using Desert Dream Granite for this Job, so I’ll use the filters, then refresh, to narrow down what’s displayed.
This Job needs one and a half slabs. Select the Material slabs, and enter a decimal number, in this case 1.5, then add the Material to the Job.
The remaining piece of a Slab does not have to be allocated immediately. Pieces split from Slabs remain in On-Hand Inventory for use later.
There is another Job that needs only a half slab, let’s allocate it now. Open the Job, click in the Material column and select Add Slab From Inventory. I’ll filter for Desert Dream Granite, refresh the view, and allocate the remaining half slab.
