Integrated Slab Scanner Import Warnings In Moraware Inventory

Slabs imported via an integrated slab scanner are linked based on unique Serial Numbers. The Serial Number must be created first in Moraware Inventory, then entered at the scanner. The numbers must match in order for the auto-link to work correctly.

For Remnants, the Remnant Serial Number does not have to already exist, but the parent Slab Serial Number must already be in Moraware Inventory in order to auto-generate the Remnant.

But typos and missed entries happen. The Scanned Slabs icon from the top menu bar takes you to a view of all Slabs from your integrated slab scanner. There can be several warnings that will appear in the Import Warning column if Slabs can not be linked. The table below lists error messages you may receive and what they mean.

Click on any underlined Import Warning message to see the full warning message. The shorter Import Warning message may refer to more than one issue, so be sure to click and read the full message for more information.

Unable to adjust current allocation for new remnant	Unable to adjust current allocation for new remnant: Original serial number is allocated to multiple activities.	If there is more than one allocation for the parent slab, Moraware does not know which one to adjust for the remnant. Manually add the remnant to the correct allocation, then manually link it.
Unable to adjust current allocation for new remnant	Unable to adjust current allocation for new remnant: Remnant is larger than available square footage, resulting in overallocation.	The remnant’s square footage is larger than the available square footage and would result in a negative allocation. Manually add the remnant to the correct allocation, then manually link it or adjust the allocation.
Unable to auto-create remnant	Unable to auto - create remnant: Non-existent parent.	The serial number received for the parent slab is not found in Moraware Inventory. Manually add the parent slab, then manually link the remnant.
Unable to auto-create remnant	Unable to auto-create remnant: No size given.	The remnant data did not include the dimensions of the remnant. Check your scanner software and attempt to resend with dimensions.
Auto-created to support remnant creation	A scanned slab record, that linked to an existing slab in Moraware Inventory, was auto-created by the system to support auto-creating a new remnant.	The parent slab serial number exists in Moraware Inventory, but the parent was never scanned. In order to create the remnant, Moraware automatically created a scanned slab record for the parent. No action is needed, but the new parent slab record will appear on the scanned slabs page, even though it was not actually scanned.
