How To Run A Traceroute For Your Inventory Database

If you are having trouble with the responsiveness of your Inventory database, run a traceroute and send the output to us at support@moraware.com to speed up finding a solution.

In the examples below, you will want to enter your database url instead of "demo.moraware.net".

For Windows:

1. Go to Start menu or press the Windows key on the keyboard
2. Type: cmd
3. Once the DOS prompt loads, type: tracert examplestone.moraware.net
   Be sure there is a space between "tracert" and your database name.
   Be sure to substitute your database name insetad of "demo".

For Mac:

1. Go to Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
2. In the Terminal window, type: tracert examplestone.moraware.net
   Be sure there is a space between "tracert" and your database name.
   Be sure to substitute your database name insetad of "demo".

It may take a few minutes to complete the trace. The result will be a series of text output that shows hops from your computer to our server.
