Format Label Form Fields

Label Forms are made up of individual Fields. Each Field can have unique formatting applied.

Label Form Fields can be edited individually or as a group. When editing multiple Fields at once, all selected Fields will have the selections applied.

Display Name: The Name of a Filed is fixed and cannot be changed, but a Display Name will print what is entered instead. An example where this is useful is if the Name is long, a shorter version or abbreviation can be entered as a Display Name. A Display Name only applies to the Label Form where it is entered. If left blank, the Name will be used.

Field Width: By default this is set to 1. When two Fields are on the same line, and both are set to 1, they will each take up the same amount of space on the line. If one Field is set to 2, it will be twice as wide as a Field set to 1, and so on.

Hide Field When Blank: when checked, this option will not print the Field if it is empty.

Cell: refers to the entire Field, both the Label and the Value. The Cell has unique properties related to where the Label appears, across the top of the value, on the left or right, or not at all. It can have a border all the way around the entire Cell, and also an inner border to split the Label from the Value. Leave any or all options blank to use the default settings.

Label: refers to the Name of the Field, like "Material". Select the Font, Font Style (Bold, Underlined, Italic), Text Color, and Background. Leave any or all options blank to use the default settings.

Value: refers to the unique information from your database. In the Label Form, it will appear empty, since each Value is pulled for each item being labeled. For the example of a Field named "Material", the Value that will appear when printed will be whatever Material has been selected for each item, like Granite. Select the Font, Font Style (Bold, Underlined, Italic), Text Color, and Background. Leave any or all options blank to use the default settings.Form Field format options
